Aims and objectives

Our school policy is based on the notion that school uniform:

  • Promotes a sense of discipline and pride in the school
  • Is practical, smart and good value for money
  • Makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance
  • Is considered as suitable wear for school and good value for money

The role of parents

We ask all parents who send their children to our school to support the school uniform policy. It is the responsibility of parents to ensure that the child is in the correct uniform and that is clean and in good condition. Children who do not wear smart full uniform will be reminded and, as necessary, this will be followed up with parents.

The role of the Governing body

It is the responsibility of the Governing body to ensure that the school uniform meets all the regulations concerning equal opportunities. The governors will consider, with the Headteacher, any requests from parents for individual children to have special dispensation, either for religious or medical reasons, with regard to school uniform.
