We filled around 700 blue crates with all our equipment and resources. We also got rid of quite a lot of rubbish! In the new school we have mainly new furniture. Fortunately the majority of the old furniture has been distributed to charity (including a school in Ghana) and either recycled or disposed off in a responsible way.

On Tuesday we held our final assembly in the old school. It felt a bit sad but also rather exciting because our next assembly will be in our brand-new school. Every child went home with a new Woolmore book bag and each family now has a souvenir mug with a picture of the Woolmore Welcome Tree.

On Friday we held our last ever open afternoon in the old building. More than 40 past pupils(many from 30 or more years ago) and staff came along to share memories, meet-up with their old teachers, re-visit their favourite parts of the school and take a walk down Memory Lane. This week it was the boys’ turn to play football with some of our local schools. Everyone had a great time playing against St Saviours, Bygrove, Manorfield and Our Lady’s. Well done team for playing great football and being excellent ambassadors for Woolmore School.
