Family Services

Our Family Services Team – Lorraine Palache and Susan Sibley-Mason – is here to support parents and carers. In particular, we help by:

  • supporting routines to improve attendance;
  • family welfare;
  • signposting you to services run by other bodies.

If you believe the Team can support you, please telephone the school office – 020-7987 2778. Staff will put you through to the Team or arrange for them to phone you back if no one is immediately available when you call.

The Parents Noticeboard in the playground has all the news about what the team is doing and what’s coming up.

Tower Hamlets Transition Support Service

Activities
In past years, the Family Services Team has run regular activities to support parents, including:

  • regular coffee mornings for parents and carers, often with specialist external speakers, with themes such as healthy eating, childhood medical issues (oral health, allergies, asthma, coughs and colds), using Parent Pay;
  • courses on topics such as healthy eating, cooking, maintaining a sleep routine;
  • training for parents who would like to help in school on a voluntary basis (one of which was featured in the Council’s newsletter).

Because of the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, these activities are currently suspended.  We shall keep the situation under review and we look forward to offering our usual activities as soon as it is safe to do so.
