We are pleased to announce that our new breakfast clubs – one for early years and the Sunshine Breakfast Club for KS1 and KS2 pupils – will start on Monday at 8.15am.  Please read the information here and particularly note the new timings and arrangements.

On Thursday 23rd February 2015 our pupils returned after the half term break to our brand new Woolmore School.  It was a very exciting day indeed. On Thursday and Friday the children had tours of the school and we have had very positive feedback.  They love it! Here are some photos and look out for more soon.

Here are just a few photos of the new school ….see you (that’s pupils) on Thursday 23rd February, with your new book bags and new super-smart school uniform.

We filled around 700 blue crates with all our equipment and resources.  We also got rid of quite a lot of rubbish! In the new school we have mainly new furniture. Fortunately the majority of the old furniture has been distributed to charity (including a school in Ghana) and either recycled or disposed off in a responsible way.

On Tuesday we held our final assembly in the old school.  It felt a bit sad but also rather exciting because our next assembly will be in our brand-new school. Every child went home with a new Woolmore book bag and each family now has a souvenir mug with a picture of the Woolmore Welcome Tree.

On Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 Feb from 9-11 and 3-4 we will be selling new polo shirts (including the orange ones) and other items of school uniform.  Click here to see information about our school uniform and what pupils need to wear.

More than 30 Reception parents attended our Phonics Workshop today to find out how we teach phonics and how they can help their children at home.  Thank you for coming.  If you missed the meeting please pick up a leaflet from Janet, our Assistant Headteacher for Early Years.

On Friday we held our last ever open afternoon in the old building.  More than 40 past pupils(many from 30 or more years ago) and staff came along to share memories, meet-up with their old teachers, re-visit their favourite parts of the school and take a walk down Memory Lane. There were so many stories…
