This week we created monoprints (using one colour) showing the outlines of warehouses in the London Docklands.

This week as part of both our Science and Docklands topics we looked at the forces of floating and sinking and how this affected loading ships safely.

This week we made models of derricks (cranes that were used to transfer goods from the ships to the docks) as part of our study of Woolmore in the East End.

This week we visited the Museum of London Docklands. Here we saw, touched and smelt (see above!) our way through the hundreds of years of East End history.

During Kilimanjaro Charity Week we looked at images of the mountain and discussed ‘special places’ as part of our RE lesson.

We practised placing, ordering and comparing decimals…all the way down to thousandths!

 We wrote haikus about our holidays. Some of us wrote two…
