Chocolate

We have now come to the end of our chocolate topic, and what a term it’s been! In design and technology, we designed and made our own chocolate treats (called Poplar Tree-ts), carefully considering what ingredients to include. We then made the packaging for the treat, thinking about how to make it appealing and ensuring that all the necessary information is included on it.

In English, we read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl, a great copy of which Maisha won in our end of term raffle! We also wrote newspaper reports about Charlie Bucket finding the last golden ticket.

We also spent time in geography learningabout where chocolate comes from and in history learning about the Mayans and how they used chocolate in human sacrifices. It’s been a very busy few weeks!
