Electric circuits

This week in year 4, we developed our understanding of circuits and electricity by creating circuits for specific purposes. The children had to create a robot toy with eyes that light up, a voice that buzzes and a nose that spins around when you press different buttons.

The children had to choose their own components; they worked out that they would need a bulb, a buzzer and a motor, as well as wires and cells. The class worked excellent in groups to support each other, especially when a circuit didn’t work and they had to work out what had gone wrong!
