Woolmore pupils make healthy eating video

The Hidden Sugar video was made by Woolmore children taking part in the Banana Bytes After School Club set up by Tasneem and Jen. Banana Bytes is a new Healthy Eating Campaign in East London led and designed by children, parents and schools. Five schools in Poplar are taking part and each school is making their own contribution to the Campaign to encourage healthier eating and tackle the very high level of obesity in Tower Hamlets.  The Hidden Sugar video was made with the help of filmmaker, Tim Newton.  You’ll see the Woolmore video and slide show featured at an event in Chrisp Street Market in the spring and in local health centres and Idea Stores.  There will be a Sugar Information card distributed with the video.  To find out more about the project and pick up some healthy tips and recipes, go to http://bananabytes.net
