Learning in Key Stage 1 (KS1)

Learning in Key Stage 1 – Year 1 and Year 2

Key Stage 1 (KS1) follows on from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

We have six classes in KS1, three Year 1 classes (Banyan Tree, Fig Tree and Holly Tree) and three Year 2 classes (Juniper Tree, Magnolia Tree and Maple Tree).

The phase leader is our Assistant Headteacher, Tasnim Begum.

The KS1 Curriculum

The National Curriculum is taught in Key Stage 1. The National Curriculum is organised into subject areas:

  • Art and Design
  • Design and Technology
  • English
  • Geography
  • History
  • Information and Communication Technology
  • Mathematics
  • Music
  • Physical Education
  • Science

Religious Education and Personal, Social and Health Education are also taught at Key Stage 1.
